At the end of the parade, besides being treated to a couple of songs by the Star Band, there are a couple of short speeches and prayers. Townspeople gather round. As the festivities end, it should be just the beginning of a day to remember the birth of our wonderful nation and what a privilege it is for us to live here--not just Barkhamsted, but America. Happy birthday, America!
