This one from Australia.
There were many waiting to be restored.
George the ticket taker.
We went on a short trolley ride. We learned too late that there were longer, sightseeing trolley rides in the center of town. It was too late by the time we found out.
The old-time ads were fun to read.
Actually as it turned out, most of our adventures on this day, we just happened across...like stumbling into this place where you could see the Bush's residence.
Being a lover of stones, I loved happening across St. Anne's Stone Chapel. It was built from 1887 and finished in 1892. It is still in use. I was in awe of the beauty.
And on the same property of the chapel is this Chapel by the Sea. What an awesome experience it must be listening to a sermon with the ocean as a background, the waters there also being known as the Gulf of Maine, a new fact to me.
I don't know if the Bush's ever worshipped there, but they did donate money for pews.
Ended the day with one more quick stop on a beach in a quest for sea glass. We couldn't look long as it started raining.
